Hi ya'll. Bet you thought I wasn't going to write this
month. It's late
and hopefully we'll see many of you over the holidays, but just want you to
know you are ALWAYS on our minds.
November went so fast. We have a new temple president and have been busy
learning his new ways. He will be great, but we are still adjusting and
learning.
On my birthday LeeAnn came early to our apartment and brought us a lovely
sack lunch to eat on our break. That night Dad and I went out to dinner.
Dad had made a cake and we invited two of our neighbor couples over to share
it. It was fun to get acquainted with the Longs. Brother Long says
he is a
hillbilly and proud of it. It was interesting to hear of his upbringing
in
the backwood hill country of Tennessee. He said farmers found producing
moonshine bought more money and was easier than produce to transport over
the dirt roads to town. He is in his seventies and has been well educated
and very successful. They are great people.
At our stake womens conference our speaker was our mission President, Pres.
Glauser. He gave a great presentation about successful entrepreneurs in
the
business of helping people. It was interesting and very
inspirational. I
think he has written a book about his studies in this area.
For a good bit of this past month I have battled sinus infection and jaw
problems. For the first time, I feel old. I just cannot get
everything
done I want to. I kind of always feel pressured. I need to learn to
relax,
do what I can and leave the rest up to the Lord. I know a prophet gave
that
advice. I just have a hard time doing it.
Enough of my troubles. Let's have a peaceful, lovely December - filled
with
beauty, love, and music.
