Dear Family,

It's fun having email at our house now.  I'm not sure how to use it very well, but I guess practice makes perfect. 

October just came and went too fast!  We had 3 birthdays (Scott, Taylor and Hannah) this month.  Scott's was quiet, we went out to dinner.  For Hannah, she wanted to play "hide & seek", "tag" and eat cake.  So she invited a few friends over for a party!  Taylor had a party too.  We played relay games and kickball.  All of the birthday celebrations seemed to be a success!!

After the parties it was on to the Halloween costumes.  We had fun getting everyone ready.  Jake was a Grim Reaper, Taylor a 49er football player, Hannah was "Dorothy", Sam was "Woody" and Amy was a pink bunny.  We went to Grandpa Alexander's to trick or treat.  It's so fun to see him with our kids.  He seems very happy to be with them.  The Buchanan girls came to our house to trick or treat with us.  We are very lucky to have them close by.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to listen to conference this past month.  Scott and I try to listen to a talk or two before we go to bed.  What a great thing it is to have the internet in our home. It's good to read the conference talks, but it is wonderful to hear their voices.
