For those of you who haven't heard, Brian got his mission
call. He is going
to Toronto, Canada and leaves on January 9th. He is very excited about
going somewhat foreign, yet English speaking. We haven't heard many
stories
about people who have served there or know someone who has yet, but we know
it will be a cold place. We are thinking that he will give his farewell
the
last Sunday in December, the 30th, since the Sunday before he leaves is a
fast Sunday. Anyway, we are excited that it came. I personally,
felt very
nervous as he was opening the call, just with all that is going on around
the world now, but am very relieved and feel comfortable with where he is
going. Of course, I would have had faith at where ever he would have been
called and so would he have. He was ready to go anywhere.
I received a new calling. I am back in Young Women's. I haven't
served
there since moving here and am kind of excited, yet I am remembering how
much time it all takes. I guess I have been hiding out in primary too
long.
But, it will be fun to be with both my girls. All of the other board
members are about my age and in my stage of life and so it will be fun to
get to know them and "bond" with them. In primary, I haven't
had that
opportunity to work with anyone, which I have missed. I will miss primary
too though. I love primary. I love the children and the songs and
most of
all the entertainment side of it. I hope that I can stay awake in Sunday
School now!
I really enjoyed the General Women's meeting last night. If you weren't
able to attend, you'll have to get a copy of the talks. They were
excellent. Now I am looking forward to General Conference next week.
Not much else is new. Hope you all are doing good!
