Hello everyone,
I got Mom's newsletter todaay. It reminded me to write. All is well in
San
Jose. Summer is over and now Troy is a big Senior this year. He is
really
excited about that. Today was the first day of seminary for him. He just
took his Senior pictures, they came out great.
We had a nice summer. The highlight was the family reunion. We
always
love to get together with everyone. (Except when I lost in ping pong to
Steven). We love and care about everyone alot. We wish we were closer to
everyone. We do miss getting together for alot of the holidays,
birthdays,
etc.
Ashley came to San Jose for her birthday. She rec'd her patriarchal
blessing during that weekend. It was very special. I'm sure she was
touched as the most wonderful blessings were pronounced upon her. She has
a
very bright future as she remains faithful. As Courtney,Kyle and now
Ashley
have had their patriarchal blessings I couldn't help but feel
humbled over how much our Heavenly Father loves them. He was their Father
long before me, and has entrusted them to Jenn and I to raise and help. That
is quite a responsibility. I know he helps us as we go along day to day.
Anyway the youth of today are very special. I hope they all know that.
We had a new young lady move into our ward. She was recently baptized.
She
is a world class Volley ball player and just graduated from Cal
Berkley.
She is the fiance to the #1 draft pick of the 49ers - Andre Carter. He
has
been coming to church lately. I talked with him for a bit. He has
the
biggest hands...I hear he asks good questions in our gospel esentials class.
He is really a nice guy.
All else is going fine. Jenn's Dad has his good days and bad days.
Seems
like he has had more bad than good lately. We are planning to have a 55th
Wedding anniversary party for them.
I can't wait until we do something for Mom & Dad and their 50th. They
have
helped us all so much. Well anyway talk to you all later. We love
you all.
